General Information
These are walks in the hills and high fells and can last all day and as such require an appropriate level of fitness and adequate clothing. Please ensure you are confident that you are able to walk on rough terrain and manage the specified distance and ascent/descent. Also at this time of year daylight hours are short and a torch or headlamp are essential
Please notify me if you have any medical condition (including allergies) that may conceivably affect you during the walk, take appropriate medication on the walk with you.
The leader of the walk reserves the right to change the route if for any reason the leader believes that a person or persons are unable to complete the planned walk because of their fitness or inadequate equipment or if weather conditions make it unsafe to continue the walk.
Recommended Equipment
- Walking boots or strong walking shoes
- Waterproof jacket and overtrousers.
- Spare sweater/fleece.
- Warm hat and gloves
- Suitable rucksack.
- Personal first aid
- Packed lunch and drink to last all day.
- Camera and binoculars (optional).
- Head torch
- Walking poles (optional).
